湖北:清江方山绝壁现罕见百岁古树“小勾儿茶王”
On July 7th, the Forestry Bureau of Changyang Tujia Autonomous County protected the two small teas on the trail, while the Qingjiang Fangshan Scenic Spot installed surveillance video nearby to ensure the safety of the two small teas .

Qingjiang Fangshan is located in Zhengjiabang Village, Longzhouping Town, Changyang Tujia Autonomous County, Hubei Province, and is one of the core areas of Qingjiang Forest Park. The ancient tea tree was found on a cliff in the middle of the cliff path of Fangshan on the Qingjiang River, at an altitude of 600 meters. The grounding rod of this ancient tea tree is very thick, with a DBH of 25 cm, and the tree shrews are very strong. With a diameter of more than 40 cm, the tree is divided into three main branches at a height of more than one meter. This ancient tree is about 15 meters high, with a crown of more than 40 square meters and a tree age of more than 100 years. On the east cliff side of the cliff path, a small hook tea with a diameter of 20 cm in diameter was also found. ‍
The population of C. sclerophylla has very few resources, its distribution is very narrow, and its natural reproduction ability is very poor. It is a rare plant on the verge of extinction. Is endemic to China. In 1907, the British botanist Wilson first collected specimens of this species in Xingshan County, Hubei Province. However, no one has ever discovered this species in the last hundred years. Until June 2001, Dr. Jiang Mingxi, Wuhan Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, collected the first Xiaogou tea from Wufeng County, Hubei Province, and transferred it back from the United Kingdom to compare the model of the Xiaogou tea model. The species was renamed and confirmed.
Xiaogou Tea is a kind of medicinal tree, which can relieve rheumatism, promote blood circulation, relieve cough and phlegm, and strengthen spleen and qi. It has curative effects on rheumatoid arthralgia, low back pain, dysmenorrhea, tuberculosis, dysentery, infantile effusion, hepatitis, biliary tapeworm, poisonous snake bite, and bruises. It has become a very precious "tea medicine tree".
Xiaogou Tea is also an ornamental tree. It blooms from late May to early June every year, and its fruits mature from August to September. After the fruit matures, it is a spherical red fruit, which is extremely attractive.
By the end of 2014, there were less than 30 strains of naturally grown small hook teas found in the country.
Xiao Gouer Tea from Fangshan, Qingjiang was discovered on the morning of May 16, 2015. On the same day, a plant expert organized by the Changyang Forestry Bureau was conducting a spectral survey of the plants in the Fangshan Scenic Area of Qingjiang River. In the middle of the precipice trail, Dr. Wang Yubing from Three Gorges University, who participated in the plant survey, recognized the little Goucha tea ancient on the cliff. tree. On the afternoon of the same day, Hou Ronggui, deputy general manager of the Qingjiang Fangshan Scenic Spot, found a second strain of Xiaogoer tea in the eastern part of the trail.
According to this survey, more than 20 species of rare plants were found on the cliff trails, including more than 100 ancient trees and vines. Above the cliff, you can see rare and endangered species such as Xiaogou Tea, and benefit from the development concept of "no damage to one tree and one vine" in the construction of the Fangshan scenic spot of Qingjiang River. Sometimes, it will increase investment by millions to protect an ancient tree. Yuan has turned the walking trail into a "Botanical Museum" for tourists to visit, and a "forest tunnel" that can block the hot sun, winter, and summer.
According to Wang Yubing, Ph.D. from Three Gorges University, Xiaogou Tea generally grows in broad-leaved forests between 900 and 1200 meters above sea level. It is mostly born in deep soil layers, fertile soil, and well-drained gullies. It likes a warm and humid living environment. However, the Xiaogou Tea from Fangshan of Qingjiang River grows on a cliff of limestone cliffs at an altitude of 600 meters, which is a difficult mystery. Two small hook teas were found on a walking trail, and the two trees were less than 1,000 meters apart, which indicates that there should be a small hook tea in the Fangshan forest of Qingjiang.
Some experts believe that the reason why Xiaogoer Tea can survive in such a dangerous environment is due to the ecological environment here: Qingjiang Fangshan is located in the core area of Qingjiang National Forest Park, with forest coverage of more than 98%, spring eyes full of mountains, streams Vertical and horizontal, cloud steaming around the mist, warm in winter and cool in summer, provide enough moisturization for the small hook tea, ensuring sufficient warmth.
